Some figure drawings from my Dynamic Drawing class. As you can tell, not really my forté, but it improves a little every time. I read this book last week that had a line in it that said instead of saying “Oh, I’m not good at <insert task here>” say, “I’m just not good at it, yet.” I like it. I’m going to try and make this my new way of thinking.
And on that note, I signed up for a storyboarding class in the fall. So excited and so intimidated at the same time!
For an assignment, we were to pick a photo and then analyze it. There is a stack of tracing paper drawings and a few watercolour thumbnails in addition to these ones.I’d like to do this with more photos.
But first, I want to try an exercise that I came across in Dream Worlds: Production Design for Animation. You’re to draw key frames from a favourite movie sequence and then analyze them - colour, composition, etc. Actually, ratites did an amazing job of this with Grand Budapest Hotel. So cool! <3
